* DISCIPLESHIP: For those desiring a closer walk with the Lord as they learn to Practice their part of the Covenant.

Psalm 107:20 “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” .
Learning to PRACTICE the Word of God, will:
1. Work the Sanctification Process into your life by the renewal of your mind. Romans 12:2.
2. Break and change your faulty beliefs to the truth of who you are in Christ. John 8:32.
3. Bring healing to you and your relationships. John 5:6.
4. Bring acceptance of personal responsibility for yourself, your actions, thoughts and imagination. 2 Cor. 10:5.
5. Bring discipline into your life, 1 Tim. 4:7; Prov. 12:1, and will bring you to that place of obedience to the Lord. 1 Sam. 15:22.
6. Teach you self-control, which will raise your self-image. 2 Pet.1:5-7,10.
7. Teach you to Love God above all else and love your neighbor as yourself. Matt. 22:37-40; 1 Cor. 13:8
8. Teach you not to take yourself or your circumstances so seriously. Prov. 17:22.
9. Teach you about yourself, the processes of your innermost being, i.e., your spirit and soul and how your thinking processes and your impulses work. It will truly teach you “how to” put on the new self. Eph. 4:24
The Greek word PRASSO means to PRACTICE. The word PRACTICE means to do or perform something repeatedly in order to acquire a skill; to work at. When you PRACTICE anything there are many trials and errors until finally there is a success. You will make many mistakes, but continue to persevere, Rom. 12:9-13, and learn to focus on your gains and not your failures. In the process you die to self, learn to love and give to others, and become an overcomeer.
It takes time to renew your mind and to change habits that have been formed over a lifetime. Give God time to work in your life as you learn to cooperate with Him, by putting His Word into PRACTICE in your life. James 1:22.
Learn to work your part of the Covenant, Phil 2:12. God will do His part as you yield yourself to Him, Phil. 2:13. Remember you can do nothing apart from Him. John 15:5.
The word PRASSO is used in the following Scriptures:
Rom. 2:1 - You who judge PRACTICE the same thing
Rom 2:2 - upon those who PRACTICE such things
Rom 2:25 - is of value, if you PRACTICE the Law
Rom 7:19 - but I PRACTICE the very evil that I do
Gal 5:21 - forewarned you that those who PRACTICE such
We are going to PRACTICE something. The above Scriptures are truly telling us that we sometimes PRACTICE what is damaging to us. We will either PRACTICE the deeds of the flesh or the Word of God. It is our choice.
The word PRASSO is also used in:
Phil. 4:9 - “The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, PRACTICE these things; and the God of peace shall be with you.”
